Contentedness, Happiness, Joy

In a recent interview, Deepak Choprah, reknown physician and spirtual leader, commented that contentedness is where he "lives", and loosely explained that it was a feeling of satisfaction. He went on to explain, that happiness was the momentary small pleasures, things that make you smile and feel good. And lastly, Joy, which he said, is happiness for no reason.

This idea of contentedness made me pause, and realize that maybe "happiness" is right here. It just doesn't look like we expected, full of sunshine and rainbows. Contentedness is the good whole feeling we have when we are satisfied.

In searching for happiness, we are searching for something that at best, is fleeting. Maybe we'd all be a little "happier" if we'd change how we are measuring?

At Insight Coaching, we measure how you think, including your ability to Be at Peace. If you would like some more contentment in your life, call me to take the first step.
